Chia Minaya is a filmmaker, writer, and an overall creative person. She's a native New Yorker from The Bronx. She obtained her B.F.A in film from Hunter College. She has produced content in the United States as well as abroad (Paris, London, Amsterdam, Buenos Aires).

 

In 2016 "In Pursuit of a Dream" a short film she directed about a young Hispanic male struggling to make it as an actor, has premiered in several film festivals. Such as “Katra Film Festival” “VIVA! Film Festival” “Cuny Film Festival” and is scheduled to premiere in others.

 

She is currently working on GIG$ a web series written, directed, and executive produced by her, which focuses on may issues people face in America.
